Flying Eagles beat Australia in final World Cup warm-up

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles came from behind to beat Benin Republic to qualify for the WAFU-B U-20 Cup semifinals.

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles wrapped up their preparations for the FIFA U20 World Cup with a 3-1 victory over Australia in Santiago, Chile.

Tahir Maigana opened the scoring before Achihi Oseer doubled the lead as Nigeria started brightly in their last warm-up match.

Australia pulled one back before the break but Charles Agada’s late strike sealed the win for Aliyu Zubairu’s side.

The result follows Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against hosts Chile last week and leaves the 2005 runners-up full of confidence heading into the tournament.
