French giants Olympique Lyon have set their sights on Super Eagles defender Igoh Ogbu as they look to strengthen their defense ahead of next season’s campaign.
The seven-time Ligue 1 champions are reportedly in advanced discussions to secure the services of the 25-year-old center-back from Czech side Slavia Prague.
According to reports from Africafoot, Lyon initiated talks with Ogbu’s representatives several weeks ago and has made significant progress in convincing the Super Eagles prospect to join the club.
The defender has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the Ligue 1 side, leaving negotiations between Lyon and Slavia Prague as the final hurdle to complete the transfer.
Who is Igoh Ogbu?
Born on February 8, 2000, in Jos, Nigeria, Igoh Ogbu began his football career at Gombe United before moving to Norway in 2018 to join Rosenborg on a four-year contract.

Should the transfer be finalized, Ogbu would become the latest Nigerian player to feature in France’s top flight, following in the footsteps of Terem Moffi, Gabriel Osho and Simon Moses.
