Tragedy has struck the football world as Liverpool FC forward Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva died in a car accident in Zamora, Spain, on July 3, 2025.
The 28-year-old Portuguese international and his 26-year-old brother were traveling in a Lamborghini when the vehicle suffered a tire blowout, veered off the A-52 highway, and burst into flames. Both Diogo Jota and his brother were pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. local time on the Rías Bajas motorway (A52) at kilometer 65 in the direction of Benavente.
The Spanish Civil Guard has confirmed the incident, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
