United States President Donald Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino appeared together at the FIFA World Cup draw ceremony, where Trump was presented with the FIFA Peace Prize.
Trump opened the event with words of praise for the FIFA boss, saying: “It’s such an honor to be with Infantino. He has set new records on ticket sales.”
He added: “Football is an amazing thing.”
Infantino responded with strong support for the US president, insisting that Trump “definitely deserves this FIFA Peace Prize” and telling him: “You can always count on my support.”

Speaking about global conflicts, the FIFA president said:
“We see images of war all over the world. We suffer for every child that cries. We cry for every mother who loses someone she loves.”

Infantino also referenced Trump’s involvement in Middle East diplomacy, saying: “I was lucky to see the Middle East peace agreement with you.”

Closing the ceremony, Trump hinted at something significant ahead, telling the audience: “You are going to see an event you have never seen before in your life.”
