Pisa ended a 17-game winless run in Serie A with a 3–1 victory over Cagliari despite playing most of the match with ten men following Rafiu Durosinmi’s red card.
The Nigerian striker, who joined the club from Viktoria Plzeň in January, was dismissed in the 37th minute for violent conduct, leaving Pisa with a numerical disadvantage before halftime.
Stefano Moreo had earlier put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot.
Despite being reduced to ten players, Pisa extended their lead after the break through defender Antonio Caracciolo, who scored twice in quick succession in the 52nd and 54th minutes.
Cagliari responded in the 67th minute when veteran striker Leonardo Pavoletti pulled a goal back, briefly raising hopes of a comeback.

Those hopes faded when Adam Obert was shown a second yellow card in the 81st minute, reducing the visitors to ten men as well.
Pisa held on comfortably to secure their first win since November and only their second league victory of the season.
The result lifts Pisa off the bottom of the table, level on points with Hellas Verona but ahead on goal difference.
