Super Eagles defender Igoh Ogbu has successfully undergone surgery after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon during the recent international break.
The procedure was carried out at the Central Military Hospital in Stresovice, Czech Republic, with medical personnel confirming that the operation was successful.
The injury represents a significant setback for the 24-year-old, who is expected to spend approximately three months on the sidelines as he begins the rehabilitation phase of his recovery.

Ogbu sustained the injury during the international window in which Nigeria fell to a 2-1 defeat against Portugal in a friendly match.
The centre back has become an important figure for Czech champions Slavia Praha and has also established himself as a regular presence in recent Super Eagles squads.
His absence will be felt by both club and country, particularly as preparations continue for upcoming domestic and international fixtures.
Medical assessments following the operation indicate that Ogbu’s recovery will be closely monitored by specialists, with physiotherapy expected to commence in the coming weeks.
