Belgian giants Anderlecht have submitted a €3.5 million (approximately ₦5.5 billion) offer for Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke as Sevilla look to reshape their squad before the close of the summer transfer window.
Ejuke has entered the final year of his contract at the Spanish club, and reports in Spain suggest Sevilla are open to selling the 28-year-old as they seek to generate funds and ease financial pressures.
Although speculation over his future has persisted since last summer, the Nigerian remained with Sevilla for the 2025/26 campaign. However, recent developments indicate the club is now prepared to listen to offers.
A major indication of that came during pre-season when Ejuke was omitted from Sevilla’s touring squad for their training camp in the Netherlands, fuelling suggestions that he is no longer part of head coach Gracia Plaza’s plans.

According to reports from Spain, Anderlecht have now made the first concrete move by tabling a €3.5 million bid for the former CSKA Moscow winger.
The Belgian side are looking to strengthen their squad after falling short in recent Jupiler Pro League title races and view Ejuke’s experience as a valuable addition to their attacking options.
A return to Belgium could appeal to the Nigerian international, who enjoyed a productive loan spell with Royal Antwerp during the 2023/24 season, contributing four goals and four assists in 29 league appearances.
Sevilla are not expected to demand an excessive transfer fee, having signed Ejuke as a free agent two years ago. Nevertheless, discussions between both clubs are still ongoing, with no agreement yet reached.

The player’s stance could also prove decisive. In addition to Anderlecht’s interest, Ejuke is reportedly attracting offers from Saudi Arabia, where clubs are capable of offering significantly higher wages.
