Due to Sunshine Stars’ poor performance at the Nigeria Premier League this season, Ondo state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has relieved Dele Ologun the burden of managing the affairs of the club, as executive chairman of the board of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA).
Governor Aiyedatiwa also approved the dissolution of the entire board members of the agency.

Based on a statement made by Aiyedatiwa’s chief press secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, said the governor asked the sacked board members to hand over all government properties in their care to the accounting officer of the agency.
He said Governor Aiyedatiwa approved a Caretaker Committee to manage the affairs of Sunshine Stars Football Club, under the leadership of Mr. Tokunbo Akinyelure as Team Manager and Welfare Officer.
Other members of the caretaker team according to the statement are Morris Kwaghzever, Abdul Wahab, Elias Michael, Adetula Olumide, Ayodeji Abe, Isaac Afolabi and Ademola Ayodeji – amongst others.

The statement said the Caretaker Committee would report directly to Governor Aiyedatiwa.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa charged members of the caretaker team to work towards turning around the fortunes of the Sunshine Stars Football Club.”
