Such performances have placed the Super Eagles star on the radar of several European heavyweights. Over the past 18 months, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, and Atletico Madrid have all been linked with Lookman. However, no firm offers have materialised.

Now, under Flick’s direction, Barcelona could be prepared to act. The former Bayern Munich coach reportedly views Lookman not just as an affordable option but as a player capable of making an immediate impact at the Camp Nou.

Atalanta have set a €60 million asking price, but that figure could be negotiable. With only one year left on Lookman’s current deal, the Italian side may be compelled to sell now to avoid losing him for free next summer.
