Victor Osimhen offered ₦85bn by Saudi giants — But family stands firm

Victor Osimhen family opposes a move to Saudi club Al Hilal as he weighs offers from Galatasaray, the Premier League, and Juventus.

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly received a jaw-dropping €50 million (approximately ₦85 billion) annual salary offer from Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal, but his family may have the final say.

According to Turkish commentator Murat Özbostan, Osimhen’s family is not in favour of a move to Saudi Arabia, despite the astronomical offer on the table.

In a chat with Habersarikirmizi, Özbostan claimed the Nigerian international is still undecided and weighing his options.

“Osimhen’s family is not keen on Arabia. I think his chances of staying at Galatasaray are around 60%,” Özbostan revealed.

The 26-year-old forward, who spent the last season on loan at Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray, was instrumental in their double-winning campaign, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances.

While Al Hilal remains persistent in its pursuit, Galatasaray has reportedly made a generous counter-offer, and several Premier League and Serie A clubs are still monitoring the situation.

Top transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed Al Hilal are not giving up, despite a recent rejection:

“Al Hilal are not giving up on Victor Osimhen as they want to submit a new proposal to the player… race open as Galatasaray and Premier League clubs are still there, while Juventus called again,” Romano posted on X.

Though tempted by Saudi riches, Osimhen’s next move could ultimately hinge on family influence and where he believes his legacy will shine brightest.
