President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has officially assumed office as the new President of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B.
The formal handover ceremony took place on Monday at WAFU’s headquarters in Cocody Riviera 4, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Gusau succeeds Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku, who vacated the position following his elevation to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee during the CAF Congress held in Egypt on 12 March 2025. Okraku now serves as CAF’s Second Vice President.
Gusau was unanimously elected as WAFU Zone B’s 1st Vice President on 19 May 2025 during the body’s 17th Ordinary Assembly in Niamey, Niger Republic.

His elevation to the presidency comes as part of the leadership reshuffle prompted by Okraku’s promotion.
