The Super Falcons of Nigeria open their WAFCON 2025 campaign with a Group B clash against Tunisia on Sunday, July 6, at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.
Nigeria head into the tournament as favourites, having qualified for their 15th WAFCON appearance with a commanding 7–1 aggregate victory over Cape Verde.
The nine-time champions are eager to reclaim their title after a disappointing fourth-place finish in 2022.

Despite their pedigree, Nigeria will be cautious in their approach, having lost their opening match in the last two editions of the competition.

Tunisia arrive for their third-ever WAFCON appearance with high hopes.
The North Africans are banking on Sabrine Ellouzi, who scored seven times in the qualifiers, and veteran forward Mariem Houij to lead the line.
Tunisia, on the other hand, have only managed one win in four WAFCON matches against West African opposition (W1 D2 L1).
