Napoli have approved a €75 million deal for the transfer of Victor Osimhen to Turkish champions Galatasaray, with the agreement including a unique clause.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have reached full agreement on the financial terms, which will see Galatasaray pay €40 million upfront, followed by two additional instalments of €17.5 million each by June 2026.
Concerns over Galatasaray’s financial guarantees had delayed the deal, but these have now been resolved.
A defining feature of the deal is the clause which prohibits Osimhen from transferring to any Serie A club within the next two years.

Napoli have consistently maintained that any release clause in Osimhen’s contract would only apply to clubs outside Italy, and this new condition reinforces that stance.

The 26-year-old Nigeria international has been left out of Napoli’s pre-season training squad, a clear indication that the transfer is nearing completion.
Osimhen, who scored 37 goals in all competitions last season, had previously been linked with Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Al Hilal, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

The only unresolved aspect of the deal remains Napoli’s demand for a 20% sell-on clause from any future transfer involving Osimhen.
Galatasaray are negotiating to have this condition removed, but discussions are ongoing.

If completed, the move will be one of the most expensive transfers in Turkish football history, and a major coup for the Istanbul club as they prepare for UEFA Champions League competition.
