Nigerian striker David Okereke could be set for a return to Belgium with Cercle Brugge as the summer transfer window nears its close.
According to reports from Africafoot, Cercle Brugge have made a fresh move for the 27-year-old, tabling a €3m offer to Cremonese to bring him back to the Jupiler Pro League on a three-year deal.
Okereke originally left Cercle Brugge in 2022, joining Cremonese for €2.5m. After loan spells and mixed fortunes in Italy, he may now be on the verge of a comeback at his former club.
The Nigerian forward spent last season on loan at Turkish Süper Lig side Gaziantep, where he scored nine goals in 30 appearances.

He has also played for Spezia, Cosenza, Venezia, Torino, and Club Brugge during a career that has taken him across Italy and Belgium.

At Cremonese, Okereke has registered 11 goals and five assists, but uncertainty over his future has persisted.
Rayo Vallecano reportedly had a €1m bid rejected earlier this summer, with the Italian side valuing him much higher.
Okereke remains under contract with Cremonese until 2026 but could have played his final match for the Serie A side in last weekend’s 2-1 victory over AC Milan, where he featured prominently.
