Essien Udim FC will face Tanko Baba FC in the Senate President’s U-18 Unity Cup final after both teams came through tight semi-finals in Abuja.
Essien Udim sealed their place with a 2–0 win over Great Olympic FC of Lagos.
Philip Pius struck first on 31 minutes, before Victor Gilbert added a second early in the second half to keep the Akwa Ibom side on course for their first title.
The win continues a strong turnaround for Essien Udim, who opened the tournament with a 4–1 defeat to Gamji FC of Taraba but recovered to qualify from the group.
Tanko Baba joined them in the final after a 1–1 draw with Jaguar FC of Abia.
The Nasarawa side prevailed 4–3 on penalties, improving on last year’s fourth-place finish.
Sunday’s finals at the Old Parade Ground in Abuja will begin with the third-place matches in both the women’s and men’s categories.
Young Stars of Niger meet Horvel Prime of Plateau in the women’s fixture, while Great Olympic take on Jaguar FC in the men’s playoff.
Elegant Angels FC of Akwa Ibom will face GCT Ladies of Abuja in the women’s final, before Essien Udim and Tanko Baba contest the men’s showpiece.
