Super Eagles defender Igoh Ogbu has expressed pride in Nigeria’s performance at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, following a third-place finish sealed by a penalty shootout victory over Egypt in Casablanca.
Nigeria claimed the bronze medal after a tense encounter that went to penalties, ending the tournament on a high note after an impressive run.
The result delivered Nigeria’s ninth AFCON bronze medal — the most by any nation in the competition’s history. The Super Eagles also completed the knockout stages without conceding a goal and did not lose any match in regulation time during the tournament.
