Ranchers Bees have strenghtened their ambitions for life back in the Nigeria Premier Football League by appointing experienced tactician Usman Abdallah as their new head coach.
The Kaduna-based club confirmed the appointment on Wednesday as preparations gather pace for their first season in Nigeria’s top flight in nearly two decades.
Having already moved to strengthen their playing squad with the signing of former Kwara United defender Kabiru Mohammed, Ranchers Bees have now reinforced the technical department with one of the most respected coaching figures in the domestic game.

Ranchers Bees have appointed former Enyimba title-winning coach Usman Abdallah as head coach on a two-year deal as the newly promoted club prepares for its long-awaited return to the NPFL.
Abdallah reportedly signed a two-year contract following the expiration of his deal with Remo Stars at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
The appointment represents a significant statement of intent from a club determined to avoid merely making up the numbers upon its return to the NPFL after an 18-year absence.
Few coaches in Nigerian football can match Abdallah’s depth of experience.
The 51-year-old built his reputation through coaching roles at Kano Pillars, where he worked as an assistant coach and also oversaw youth development programmes before earning wider recognition at Enyimba

After initially serving as an assistant with the Aba giants, Abdallah was promoted to head coach and enjoyed one of the most successful periods of his career. Under his leadership, Enyimba reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup and later secured the 2018/19 NPFL title, finishing ahead of Kano Pillars in the championship race.
His coaching journey has also included spells with Wikki Tourists and Katsina United, adding further top-flight experience to an already impressive résumé.
Most recently, Abdallah served as Technical Adviser at Remo Stars. While the club endured a difficult campaign that ended in relegation, his broader body of work within Nigerian football remains highly regarded.

The club secured promotion after years away from the NPFL and has wasted little time in laying the foundations for survival and long term growth. The arrival of Kabiru Mohammed earlier this week provided valuable experience on the pitch, while Abdallah’s appointment offers leadership and proven expertise from the touchline.
The former Enyimba boss now faces the challenge of building a squad capable of competing with more established top-flight sides while helping Ranchers Bees adapt to the demands of the NPFL.
