Enugu Rangers have announced free bus transportation for supporters travelling to Owerri for Thursday’s Nigeria Premier Football League clash against Nasarawa United at Dan Anyiam Stadium.
The club made the announcement on Wednesday as it continues preparations for its second league fixture of the 2026/27 season.
According to the club’s supporters’ mobilisation plan, buses will depart from the Rangers camp at 10am on Thursday, September 17, ahead of the 4pm encounter.
The initiative comes after Rangers confirmed that their upcoming NPFL home fixture would be played at Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri rather than their usual home ground, the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
The Enugu stadium is currently undergoing rehabilitation, forcing the ninetime NPFL champions to temporarily move their home matches away from the city.
The fixture will mark Rangers’ return to NPFL action after their opening-day 1-1 draw against Katsina United.
Their league campaign was subsequently interrupted by their involvement in the CAF Champions League, where they faced Benin champions AS Sobemap over two legs in the first preliminary round.
Rangers drew 1-1 in the first leg at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta before another 1-1 draw in regulation time in the return leg in Lomé. The Flying Antelopes eventually prevailed 5-4 on penalties, advancing 6-5 on aggregate into the second preliminary round.
That continental assignment was the reason their scheduled league fixture was postponed, leaving Thursday’s meeting with Nasarawa United as only their second NPFL match of the new campaign.
Rangers will therefore return to domestic action with the opportunity to build on their opening day point while adapting to a temporary home venue in Owerri.
For supporters wishing to travel with the club, the free buses will leave the Rangers camp at 10am on Thursday, with Dan Anyiam Stadium serving as the destination. Meanwhile the match is scheduled for 4pm kickoff.
