Victor Osimhen once again delivered on the biggest stage for Galatasaray as the Nigerian striker scored twice in a dramatic 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor to seal the Turkish Super Lig title on Sunday night.
The result crowned Galatasaray champions of Turkey for a record-extending 26th time and completed a remarkable fourth consecutive league triumph for the Istanbul giants, matching the historic run they previously achieved between 1996 and 2000.
But while the celebrations belonged to Galatasaray collectively, the defining moments once again came from Osimhen.
In a tense contest where the champions elect twice fell behind at home, the Super Eagles forward produced the composure and ruthlessness that have made him one of the most decisive strikers in European football.

His winning goal in the 89th minute finally broke Antalyaspor’s resistance and sent the Rams Park crowd into chaos before Kaan Ayhan added a late fourth in stoppage time to confirm the title clinching victory.
The brace further strengthened what has already become a hugely influential spell in Turkey.
The Nigerian has now won his second Turkish league title with Galatasaray and the third league crown of his senior career overall, adding to the Serie A triumph he previously secured with Napoli.

More importantly, his impact on Galatasaray’s title-winning campaign has continued to underline why the club pushed aggressively to secure his services.
Despite dominating possession early, Galatasaray struggled to convert pressure into goals and were stunned shortly before half-time when Soner Dikmen headed Antalyaspor into a surprise lead.
The mood inside the stadium changed quickly after the interval following manager Okan Buruk’s substitutions.

The introduction of Noa Lang and Mario Lemina transformed Galatasaray’s attacking intensity, with Lemina equalising in the 57th minute after connecting with a headed pass from Baris Alper Yilmaz.
Antalyaspor responded almost immediately, however, as Dikmen struck again with an outstanding free kick in the 63rd minute to restore the visitors’ advantage, that was when Osimhen stepped forward.
Just minutes later, the Nigerian calmly converted from the penalty spot after Galatasaray were awarded a crucial spot-kick to make it 2-2 and reignite the title charge, from there, the momentum shifted completely.
Osimhen remained a constant threat throughout the closing stages, narrowly missing with two headers before finally finding the decisive breakthrough late in the game.
Receiving a precise pass inside the penalty area in the 89th minute, the striker showed sharp movement and composure to slot beyond the goalkeeper and complete Galatasaray’s comeback.
The goal immediately sparked wild celebrations before VAR briefly checked the buildup, eventually confirming the strike and effectively securing another league crown for the Istanbul side.
Osimhen was eventually substituted in stoppage time to a standing ovation from supporters who have quickly embraced him as one of the faces of the club’s latest dominant era.

Beyond the trophy itself, the performance also reinforced the scale of Osimhen’s influence since arriving in Turkey.
His goals, movement and physical presence have repeatedly delivered in decisive moments throughout the campaign, with Sunday’s title clinching brace becoming the latest example of his ability to carry pressure in crucial matches.
