The race for the women’s President Federation Cup title has intensified after the Nigeria Football Federation confirmed the Round of 16 fixtures, with several heavyweight clashes set to light up venues across the country.
Defending champions Rivers Angels will face Abia Angels in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, as they continue their pursuit of another domestic cup triumph.
The Port Harcourt side, one of the most successful teams in the history of the competition, enter the clash as favourites but will be wary of an Abia Angels side eager to pull off a major upset.
Another standout fixture will see Bayelsa Queens lock horns with Ibom Angels in Awka. Bayelsa Queens, perennial contenders in both domestic and continental football, face a potentially tricky test against a spirited Ibom Angels side.
Perhaps the biggest blockbuster of the Round of 16 is the South-South derby between Delta Queens and Edo Queens in Awka. Both sides boast rich histories in Nigerian women’s football, and the encounter is expected to be one of the fiercest battles of the round.

In Akure, FC Robo Queens will take on Remo Stars Ladies in an all-Southwest affair. With both teams renowned for developing young talents, the tie promises to be highly competitive.
Elsewhere, Ahudiyannem Queens will battle Heartland Queens in Enugu, while Plateau United Queens face Sunshine Queens in Abuja.
Confluence Queens are scheduled to square off against Esthington FC in Enugu, while Naija Ratels and Nasarawa Amazons will renew their rivalry in Kaduna in another heavyweight showdown.
Nasarawa Amazons, one of the most experienced sides in the competition, are among the favourites for the title and will hope to navigate a difficult challenge against an ambitious Naija Ratels side.
