Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi is set to return to OGC Nice this summer after FC Porto decided against activating the €8 million purchase clause in his loan agreement.
The Portuguese champions reached the decision following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, bringing the Nigerian forward’s brief spell in Portugal to an end.
Moffi featured in 15 matches for Porto across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing one assist during his time at the Estadio do Dragao. He also played a role in helping the club secure the Portuguese league title.
The 27-year-old arrived in Portugal during the January transfer window with hopes of reigniting his career after a difficult first half of the season in France.

Before his move, Moffi endured a turbulent period at Nice following incidents involving the club’s supporters, including the attack on the team bus in November, which reportedly affected several players within the squad.
The Nigerian striker, alongside teammate Jeremie Boga, later sought an exit from the Ligue 1 club during the winter transfer window.
Porto signed Moffi on loan with an option to make the move permanent for €8 million. However, despite handing him opportunities in domestic and European competitions, the club ultimately decided against keeping him beyond the season.
His limited output of two goals across all competitions and inability to cement a consistent starting role reportedly influenced Porto’s decision.
Moffi still has one year remaining on his contract with Nice, although reports from France suggest the Ligue 1 side are not expecting him to remain at the Allianz Riviera beyond the summer transfer window.
