The Nigeria National League has proposed a four-conference structure for the 2026/27 season, with 34 clubs divided into four groups.
The proposed grouping, contained in a document from the NNL, places nine teams in each of Conferences A and B, while Conferences C and D contain eight teams apiece.
Some of the biggest names in the proposed line-up include Remo Stars, Heartland, Sunshine Stars, Akwa United, Bayelsa United, El-Kanemi Warriors, Adamawa United, Wikki Tourists and Lobi Stars.
Conference A
Conference A features Remo Stars, Edel FC, Godswill Akpabio United, Eko United, Stormers SC, Heartland, Crown FC, Sunshine Stars and OYC FC.
Remo Stars and Sunshine Stars are among the notable names in the group, while Heartland also headline the proposed conference.
Conference B
Beyond Limits FA, Solution FC, Akwa United, Smart City FC, Abakaliki FC, Right2Win FC, Dokkah Khairu FC, Ekiti United and Bayelsa United make up Conference B.
Akwa United and Bayelsa United provide two of the more established names in the proposed grouping, while Beyond Limits FA and Solution FC are also included.
Conference C
Conference C consists of El-Kanemi Warriors, DMD FC, FC Basira, NeuroSpark FC, Kebbi United, Adamawa United, Jigawa Golden Stars and Damburan FC.
El-Kanemi Warriors, Adamawa United and Jigawa Golden Stars are among the familiar names in the conference, which has eight teams.
Conference D
The final group comprises Yobe Desert Stars, Wikki Tourists, Lobi Stars, ABS FC, Sokoto United, Bichi First FC, Kada Warriors and Mighty Jets Feeder/Bida Lions FC.
Wikki Tourists and Lobi Stars are the standout names in Conference D, alongside Yobe Desert Stars and Sokoto United.
