Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Ghana’s Black Queens will play an international friendly in Morocco as both teams ramp up preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The two continental heavyweights are at different stages of their build-up, with Nigeria enjoying a smooth camp and Ghana facing significant financial challenges.
The Super Falcons are currently in Lisbon, Portugal, preparing to take on Portugal in another friendly on Monday.
Justine Madugu’s side recently defeated the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 2-0 in Abeokuta and will travel to Morocco on Tuesday, 25 June, for the final leg of their preparations.
Nigeria has been drawn in Group B alongside Tunisia, Botswana, and Algeria. The Falcons begin their WAFCON campaign on 5 July against Tunisia at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.
