‘We’re not afraid of Nigeria’s superstars’-Rwanda captain fires warning Shot

Rwanda captain Djihad Bizimana says his team isn’t afraid of Nigeria’s star-studded squad ahead of their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier.

Rwanda captain Djihad Bizimana has sent a bold message ahead of their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria, insisting that his team is not intimidated by the Super Eagles’ star-studded squad.

The highly anticipated showdown takes place on Friday, with Nigeria looking to assert their dominance despite playing away from home.

On paper, the Super Eagles have a superior squad, but the Amavubi remain unfazed and are fully focused on their game plan.

“There’s no need to worry about Nigeria’s attack. We’ve played them twice before, and most of their players are still the same,

Our focus is on ourselves and what we do in training. We will give 100 or even 150 percent because we know they are a strong team that also wants to win.”Bizimana said in the pre match presser

Bizimana’s confidence isn’t misplaced, Rwanda shocked Nigeria in Uyo during the last Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, proving they are more than capable of upsetting the Super Eagles again.

A dominant win over Rwanda would be a massive statement to the rest of Group C, including Zimbabwe, who will soon face Nigeria. The Super Eagles must prove they are still a force to be reckoned with or risk losing their reputation as one of Africa’s elite teams.
