Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is at the centre of a jaw-dropping £1 million-a-week offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal – a move that would make him one of the highest-paid footballers in the world.
Fernandes, 30, has been United’s standout performer in an otherwise dire season and is now being lined up for a sensational switch to the Middle East.
Reports from The Telegraph claim Al Hilal have turned to Fernandes after missing out on Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah, who snubbed their advances to sign a new deal with the newly crowned Premier League champions.

Now they’ve set their sights on Fernandes – and are prepared to quadruple his current £250,000-a-week wages in a bid to tempt him away from Old Trafford.

Fernandes still has two years left on his current deal, with the club holding an option to extend by a further 12 months. United are said to have no interest in selling their talisman and view him as central to manager Ruben Amorim’s plans going forward.

Despite United’s struggles this season, Fernandes has racked up an impressive 19 goals and 18 assists in all competitions. The Red Devils are still in the hunt for Europa League glory – and a shock route into next season’s Champions League – with Fernandes at the heart of it.
Al Hilal are believed to have held early talks with the player’s representatives to gauge interest, but there’s been no indication so far that the Portugal international is looking to leave.
If he were to make the switch, Fernandes would join a growing list of big names in the Saudi Pro League, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Cancelo, Ruben Neves, and Sadio Mane.
