Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers has made it clear he wants to stay at Rangers and fight for more trophies, despite reported interest from Greek giants AEK Athens.
The Nigerian striker, who joined the Gers two years ago, has faced criticism from sections of the Ibrox faithful but remains committed to his ambitions in Glasgow.
In April, Dessers reaffirmed his desire to succeed at Rangers, stating: “I came here with the ambition to fight for trophies, and we’ve only won one so far—that’s not enough for me. I’m hungry for more.”

“I’m very keen. I came here two summers ago with the ambition to fight for trophies, to win trophies,” Dessers said in April.
“I’m sitting here, we had two amazing runs in Europe, but we only won a trophy, and I don’t think that’s enough.
“I’m really hungry to win more trophies, more silver at this club. So, for me, I’m very keen. But obviously, like I say, there’s going to be a lot happening, but I’m looking forward to that as well.”
While AEK Athens are reportedly preparing a €4 million bid to lure the 29-year-old away, Dessers’ recent comments suggest he is focused on silencing his doubters and delivering more silverware under Philippe Clement’s leadership.

With two years left on his contract, Rangers hold the cards, but the striker’s next move could hinge on whether the club sees him as a key part of their future—or if a lucrative offer from Greece proves too tempting to ignore.
For now, Dessers appears ready to embrace the challenge at Ibrox, but the summer transfer window could test his resolve.

Dessers is already on the other side of 30, and his next destination could be decided by the money on the table. If AEK Athens table an enticing offer, Dessers could be on his way out of Glasgow
