Super Eagles Striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly rejected an opening proposal from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal.
According to broadcast journalist and close friend of the Nigerian striker, Buch Laba, the bid is identical to last year’s offer — has been deemed unsatisfactory by Osimhen.
The offer, submitted ahead of the Club World Cup and before the 10 June registration deadline, included a fixed fee of €65 million plus €5 million in add-ons.
The 26-year-old forward, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, enjoyed a standout 2024/25 season in Turkey scoring 36 goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances.

His form proved pivotal in Galatasaray’s domestic double triumph, as the Istanbul giants clinched both the Süper Lig and the Turkish Cup. Unsurprisingly, the club is now pushing heavily to make his move permanent.
Galatasaray are reportedly unfazed by the €75 million clause and remain determined to keep Osimhen in Istanbul. With UEFA Champions League football secured and the player settled in, the Turkish champions believe they can win the race.

Their board is believed to be preparing a formal proposal, with wages seen as a stumbling block after Osimhen’s brilliant contribution this past season.
Meanwhile, a Serie A club still unnamed is ready to meet Osimhen’s wage expectations and could tempt the striker with a return to familiar territory.
Osimhen has already conquered Italy once, leading Napoli to the 2022/23 Scudetto and winning the league’s Capocannoniere award. A return to Serie A would offer top-level competition and Champions League exposure key factors for the Nigeria international.
