Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has revealed that Fulham have instructed him to stop posting behind-the-scenes content from the dressing room on Snapchat, a move he described as “a shame.”

The 28-year-old, known for his candid and humorous clips from inside the Fulham camp, said he was warned by the club’s media team that he could face fines if he continued sharing footage from the changing room.

“Someone from the media team said I wasn’t capturing the right stuff, so there’s no more BTS [behind the scenes],”

Iwobi said in a video shared on Snapchat. “They even said I might get fined if I keep doing it. they’re trying to ban Snap in our changing room.”

“It’s a shame,” he added. “I know people love seeing what goes on behind the scenes with my teammates, but I have to follow the rules.”

Iwobi’s Snapchat stories have offered fans a rare and informal look into life at Fulham, ranging from pre-match preparations to playful banter with teammates like Adama Traoré and Calvin Bassey.

His behind-the-scenes content has gained him a loyal following for its authenticity something most Premier League clubs tend to avoid.

The restriction comes weeks after Iwobi appeared to inadvertently reveal that club captain Tom Cairney was still with the squad before his new contract was officially announced.

While other players such as Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina have also used Snapchat to engage with fans, Iwobi’s posts have been among the most popular.

The duo’s friendly rivalry even became known as the “Snapchat Derby” after Fulham defeated Forest earlier this year.
