Super Falcons Plumptre inspires Al Ittihad to ruthless Saudi league win

Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre delivered a standout performance on Friday as Al Ittihad swept aside Eastern Flames 3-0 in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

The Super Falcons star was central to the victory, providing two assists in the first half to underline her growing influence since moving to Saudi Arabia.

Hala Khashoggi opened the scoring in the 19th minute before Plumptre set up Algerian midfielder Lina Boussaha twice in quick succession to put Al Ittihad firmly in control before the break.

Francisca Ordega, Plumptre’s international teammate, entered the game in the second half as the Jeddah side calmly managed their lead.
