Trabzonspor missed a major opportunity in the Turkish Super Lig as Paul Onuachu’s late penalty miss condemned them to a 1–1 draw against Antalyaspor.
The Nigerian striker had already brought the visitors level in the second half, converting from the spot after Antalyaspor had gone ahead shortly before the interval.
With Trabzonspor pushing for a winner, a second penalty was awarded in the closing stages, but Onuachu’s effort was blocked by goalkeeper Julian, his first missed penalty in the league.
The result leaves Trabzonspor third in the standings, four points adrift of leaders Galatasaray, while Antalyaspor stay in mid-table.
