William Troost-Ekong scored his first goal for Al-Ahli SC as they came from behind to secure a 4-1 victory over Al-Gharafa SC in the Qatar Stars League.
The 32-year-old defender played a key role in helping his side end a six-match winless run, completing a turnaround after going behind in the first half.
Al-Gharafa took the lead in the 28th minute when Yacine Brahimi converted from the penalty spot following a VAR review, giving the hosts a deserved advantage at the break.
Al-Ahli responded immediately after half-time, with Younes Abdelrahman scoring within seconds of the restart to level the match.
Troost-Ekong then put the visitors ahead in the 59th minute, reacting quickest from a corner to score from close range and mark his first goal for the club since joining in January.
Al-Ahli extended their lead late on, with Michel Vlap converting a penalty in the 87th minute before Abdelrahman added his second deep into stoppage time.
The win lifts Al-Ahli to 10th place with 19 points from 19 matches, easing pressure after a difficult run of form.
