Galatasaray are once again plotting a bold summer move to unite Victor Osimhen with Bruno Fernandes, as the Turkish champions step up plans for an ambitious squad rebuild aimed at boosting their chances in European competition.

According to reports, Galatasaray have identified Bruno Fernandes as a priority target, with the club keen to add a high-profile playmaker to their midfield.

According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Istanbul club views the 31-year-old Portugal international as a dream target. They are actively looking to overhaul their engine room by signing a marquee number 10 and a number 6.

The move is part of a wider strategy to rebuild the team’s core, with Galatasaray also seeking to reinforce the defensive midfield position.

Club officials believe combining Fernandes’ creativity with the finishing ability of Victor Osimhen could transform the team into a serious contender on the European stage.

Osimhen’s arrival on a permanent deal last summer already underlined Galatasaray’s growing financial strength and ambition in the transfer market.

However, a move for Fernandes would represent an even bigger statement.

The Portuguese international remains under contract at Manchester United until the end of the 2026/27 season, with an option for an additional year.

Reports suggest that any potential deal would require triggering a £57 million overseas release clause in his contract, making it a significant financial commitment.

Beyond the financial aspect, convincing Fernandes to leave Old Trafford could prove difficult.

The midfielder has previously indicated that his long-term future is closely tied to Manchester United’s competitiveness at the highest level.

That belief may have been reinforced following United’s recent 3-2 victory over Liverpool, a result which secured their qualification for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League.
