Former Arsenal forward Chuba Akpom has completed a permanent move to Ipswich Town after the club secured promotion to the Premier League.

The striker initially joined Ipswich on loan from Ajax, with a clause that would make the deal permanent if the club achieved promotion a condition now met following their successful Championship campaign. Ajax are set to receive £8 million (€9.2 million) as part of the agreement.

His role further diminished in the closing stages of the season, making just five appearances across Ipswich’s final 15 matches, totaling 85 minutes, while remaining on the bench in the other 10 games.
