The Confederation of African Football will hold a major Strategy Conference in Cape Verde from October 7 to 9, 2026, bringing together key figures from across the continent to discuss the future direction of African football.

The conference will focus on how football can become more world-class and self sustaining across CAF’s 54 Member Associations, while also examining lessons from Africa’s participation at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Another major focus will be preparing strategies for greater African success at the 2030 FIFA World Cup, with the continent looking to build on the experience of its teams at the 2026 tournament.

CAF Member Association presidents, coaches, members of the CAF Executive Committee, FIFA officials and other senior football stakeholders are expected to attend the three-day gathering.
