The curtain officially came down on the 2025/26 Nigeria National League season with outstanding players, clubs and officials recognised for their performances during the campaign.
Freshly crowned champions Sporting Lagos headlined the awards after being named Team of the Season following their successful promotion campaign and Super Four triumph in Ikenne.
City rivals Inter Lagos also enjoyed a memorable outing at the awards ceremony, producing the league’s highest goalscorer and best supporters’ group.
Inter Lagos striker Adebayo Oyedele finished as the top scorer of the season after netting 10 goals during the campaign, underlining his importance in the club’s impressive return to prominence.
The club’s passionate fanbase was also recognised with the Best Supporters award after consistently creating atmosphere and strong backing throughout the season.

One of the biggest individual honours of the night went to Paul Offor, who was named Best Coach of the Season after guiding Akwa United through a strong campaign.
In goal, Daniel Aiyenugba of Beyond Limits FA was rewarded for his outstanding performances with the Best Goalkeeper award after emerging as one of the league’s most consistent shot-stoppers.
The Most Valuable Player award went to Yaba Hussaini of Sokoto United following a series of influential displays across the season.
Meanwhile, Barnabas Inienga of Lobi Stars claimed the Goal of the Season prize for what was regarded as the standout strike of the campaign.
Smart City FC were recognised as the Best Behaved Team of the season, while the Anambra State Football Association received the award for Best State Football Association.
The awards ceremony rounded off a season that saw growing attention on the NNL, with improved competition, increased fan engagement and stronger commercial backing helping to elevate NNL.
