In typical Nigerian fashion, Victor Boniface turned Terem Moffi’s long-awaited trophy celebration into a social media comedy show after FC Porto clinched the Portuguese league title on Saturday.
Moffi finally secured the first major league trophy of his professional career as Porto edged Alverca 1-0 to seal their 31st Primeira Liga crown with two matches still left to play.

The Nigerian forward, who joined the Portuguese giants on loan from French side OGC Nice in January, shared his excitement online shortly after the title victory.
“First career trophy, Thank you Portistas and above all thank you God,” Moffi posted on Instagram.
But while Porto supporters congratulated the Super Eagles striker, Boniface arrived in the comments section with the kind of brutal humour Nigerian football fans have come to expect from him.
“For 45min wey you play ….you no get shame,” the Bayer Leverkusen striker wrote.

The joke quickly spread across social media, with fans reacting to Boniface’s teasing of his international teammate over his limited involvement during Porto’s title run.
Although Moffi now has a league winners’ medal, his contribution was relatively small after arriving midway through the campaign. The striker played only 241 minutes in Porto colours, while fellow Nigerian defender Zaidu Sanusi featured far more prominently with 995 league minutes on the way to his second Portuguese title.
The exchange is the latest chapter in the now famous friendship between Boniface, Moffi and Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika, a trio known among fans for their constant online trolling and dressing room banter.

Last season, Boniface and Onyedika mocked Moffi after he ended the campaign without silverware, even presenting him with a symbolic “gift” trophy so he could experience what winning felt like.
Now that Moffi finally has a genuine medal, Boniface appears determined not to let him enjoy the moment in peace.

The comments section quickly filled with laughing emojis and reactions from fans, many praising the Leverkusen striker’s unfiltered personality which has made him one of the most entertaining figures among current Super Eagles players.
Behind the jokes, however, Porto’s achievement remains significant.
The Portuguese giants secured the league title with games to spare and will now turn attention towards finishing the season strongly before preparations begin for next season’s UEFA Champions League campaign.

Moffi and Sanusi are both expected to be included in Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming Unity Cup in London as well as international friendlies against Poland and Portugal in June.
