In a dramatic rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match day 30 clash on Wednesday, bottom-placed Lobi Stars surrendered a two-goal lead to league leaders Remo Stars, as the match ended 2-2 at the iconic Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
The hosts looked set for a massive upset when they stormed ahead with two first-half goals.
Johnmark Aule broke the deadlock in the 35th minute, finishing off a smart assist from Segun Oloruntoba to give Lobi Stars a deserved 1-0 lead.
Just seven minutes later, former Rangers striker Onyekachi Okafor doubled the advantage from the penalty spot after Oloruntoba was brought down in the area, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way and giving Lobi a shock 2-0 lead before the break.
However, the second half belonged to the visitors. In the 56th minute, substitute Haruna Hadi pounced on a rebound to reduce the deficit and spark Remo Stars back into life.
