Victor Osimhen has officially turned down a fifth offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, despite the club agreeing a €75m (£63.7m) fee with Napoli for the Nigerian forward.
According to broadcast journalist Buchi Laba, a close friend of the striker, Osimhen has decided against a move to the Saudi Pro League regardless of the financial incentives on the table. “Case closed,” Laba posted, indicating the player’s firm stance.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that Osimhen rejected Al Hilal’s proposal.

The 26-year-old was offered a contract worth €30m per year – approximately £25.5m, or £577,000 per week – according to GiveMeSport.

Osimhen, who helped Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years during the 2022/23 season and finished as the league’s top scorer, is prioritising a return to top-level European football.

An unnamed Serie A club is reportedly prepared to meet his wage expectations, while several other European sides are monitoring the situation.

The Nigerian international, who spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Galatasaray, delivered a standout campaign in Turkey, scoring 36 goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances.
Galatasaray is expected to push to make his move permanent, but the race for Osimhen’s signature is now open once again, with his preference being a stay in Europe, where Champions League football and elite competition remain decisive factors.
