General Manager and CEO of Rangers International Barrister Amobi Ezeaku, has reaffirmed his commitment to the club ahead of their must-win Nigeria Premier Football League clash against Ikorodu City.
Rangers currently top the NPFL table with 65 points, one point ahead of second-placed Rivers United on 64 points heading into matchday 38.
Speaking on Sports Yarn Class on Prime Sports Radio, Ezeaku spoke passionately about his attachment to the Enugu club.
“I will give my life for this club. This club meant a lot to my late father. This club means a lot to our people and I hope the younger ones can imbibe the spirit of this club,” he said.
“It’s a thing of joy to see people wearing our club jerseys in clubs, schools, churches and mosques.”
Ezeaku also hinted at ambitious plans for the club after the season.
“When we are done with the season, we will announce our target for the Champions League and it will be ambitious,” he added.
The Rangers chief also thanked supporters and critics alike, including journalist Frankie Omokhua, for their feedback throughout the campaign.
“Thank you Frankie for all the criticism. I always listen to it and I take them, same with the fans who call in too,” Ezeaku stated.
Earlier in the season, during a visit to the Institute of Management and Technology where Rangers announced an education partnership with the institution, Ezeaku had spoken of his long-term ambition to guide the club to a ninth Nigeria Premier Football League title.
