Victor Osimhen’s remarkable scoring run at Galatasaray has taken another significant turn, with the Nigeria international moving into the club’s top three all time foreign goalscorers.
Osimhen scored twice as Galatasaray cruised to a 4-0 victory over Erzurumspor on Friday, taking his tally to 63 goals in 76 appearances for the Turkish champions across all competitions.
The brace was his second in as many games this season and came just a week after he scored twice in Galatasaray’s 2-2 draw against Corum.

After being held in their opening league fixture, Galatasaray responded emphatically against Erzurumspor, with Osimhen once again at the centre of their attacking display.
The 27-year-old made his influence felt before getting on the scoresheet. with Galatasaray leading 1-0, Osimhen found himself in a good position to shoot but instead chose to square the ball for Yunus Akgun, who finished confidently to double the advantage.
Osimhen then capitalised on a defensive error to make it 3-0 shortly before half time, showing the predatory instincts that have become a defining feature of his Galatasaray career.
He completed his second brace of the season in the 79th minute, meeting Gabriel Sara’s pass inside the box before firing into the bottom-left corner.
The result gave Galatasaray their first league victory of the 2026-27 campaign, while Osimhen left with two goals and an assist.
Osimhen moves past Milan Baros
Osimhen’s first goal of the night took his Galatasaray tally to 62, drawing him level with Czech Republic striker Milan Baros.
His second then moved him outright ahead of the former Galatasaray forward, who scored 61 goals in 116 appearances for the club between 2008 and 2013.
Osimhen has now scored those 63 goals in just 76 appearances. that puts him third among Galatasaray’s all-time foreign goalscorers, behind two iconic names in Mauro Icardi and Gheorghe Hagi.
Icardi currently leads the list with 77 goals in 134 appearances, while Romanian great Hagi scored 72 goals in 172 appearances.
That means Osimhen is now only nine goals behind Hagi and 14 behind Icardi. his scoring rate makes the comparison even more striking.
While Hagi needed 172 appearances and Icardi 134 to reach their respective tallies, Osimhen has reached 63 in only 76 matches.

Osimhen’s immediate focus will be on maintaining his blistering start to the new campaign, but his latest achievement has inevitably raised the possibility of another Galatasaray record.
If he remains at the club beyond the current transfer window and continues scoring at anything close to his current rate, the Nigerian has a realistic opportunity to challenge Icardi’s position as Galatasaray’s leading foreign goalscorer.
He has already moved past Baros and closed significantly on Hagi after just two league matches this season.
