Rangers have declared that preparations for the new football season are already in full swing, insisting the club’s work did not end with lifting the Nigeria Premier Football League title.
In an open letter released exactly one month after the Flying Antelopes were crowned champions, General Manager and CEO Amobi Ezeaku reflected on the historic achievement while outlining the club’s determination to build an even stronger team for the upcoming campaign.
While acknowledging the joy of winning the league title, Ezeaku stressed that Rangers have already turned their attention towards defending their crown and creating a lasting legacy.
“Success brings new expectations, and we embrace them with humility and determination,” Ezeaku wrote.
“Be assured that while celebrations may have quietened, work has not. Behind the scenes, we are working diligently, thoughtfully, and quietly to build a stronger, more competitive Rangers for the new season.”
He added that the club’s ambition extends beyond merely defending trophies.
“Our commitment is not merely to defend trophies but to build a legacy that will make every member of this great family proud.”

The Rangers chief also appealed for greater unity among supporters and stakeholders, describing collaboration as essential to sustaining the club’s recent success.
“We therefore ask for even deeper collaboration and stronger unity. Together, we have proven what is possible. Together, we can achieve even more.”
Looking back on the title-winning campaign, Ezeaku expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to Rangers’ success.
He first thanked God for guiding the club through a memorable season before acknowledging the Enugu State Government, particularly Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, whose support he described as instrumental to the club’s achievements.
Ezeaku also paid tribute to Rangers’ corporate partners, especially AFRINVEST, for believing in the club’s vision, while recognising the contributions of the board, management, technical crew, players, backroom staff, security agencies, supporters, volunteers and members of the media.
“The past one month has been a period of deep reflection for us. We have celebrated the trophy, but more importantly, we have reflected on the people behind it, you,” he wrote.
“Every cheer from the stands, every word of encouragement, every prayer, every act of service, and every sacrifice has reminded us that Rangers is much bigger than football. Rangers is family.” Ezeaku assured supporters that the journey was only just beginning.
