Aston Villa have emerged as the latest club interested in signing Super Eagles winger Femi Azeez following his impressive campaign with Millwall in the Championship.

The 25-year-old has become one of the most sought after players outside the Premier League after enjoying a breakthrough 2025/26 season that established him as one of the division’s standout attacking performers.

Azeez scored 11 league goals and contributed eight assists in 34 appearances, helping Millwall mount a competitive campaign while earning widespread recognition for his performances.

His consistency throughout the season was rewarded with a place in the Championship Team of the Season, further boosting his reputation ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to French publication Foot Mercato, Villa have now joined the pursuit as manager Unai Emery looks to strengthen his attacking options before the start of the new Premier League season.

The Midlands club are reportedly keen to add greater pace, creativity and depth on the flanks, with Azeez viewed as a player capable of making the step up to England’s top flight.

Villa’s interest adds to growing competition for the Nigerian, with Brighton, Bournemouth and Ipswich Town all previously credited with monitoring the winger’s progress.

Millwall, however, are understood to value one of their prized assets highly and are reportedly demanding at least €20 million before considering a sale.
