Brighton & Hove Albion manager Fabian Hurzeler has expressed his excitement after the club completed the signing of Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna, describing the teenager as a player capable of bringing creativity, pace and excitement to the Premier League side.
The Seagulls officially unveiled the 18-year-old attacker following his move from Swedish club AIK Stockholm, ending a transfer battle that attracted interest from several top European clubs.
Speaking for the first time about Brighton’s newest recruit, Hurzeler revealed why the club was eager to secure Yohanna’s signature.
“I’m looking forward to working with Zadok,” Hurzeler said.
“Having seen his games and his attributes, he is a player that can impact games in the final third.”

The Brighton manager acknowledged that the teenager will need time to adjust to English football but believes the winger possesses the qualities needed to thrive at the club.
“He’s still young and will need time to adapt to the club and the Premier League, but he’s an exciting player to watch and he brings the kind of creativity we know our fans will enjoy.”
Hurzeler also highlighted the attacking attributes that convinced Brighton to invest heavily in the Nigerian youngster.
“He’s dynamic, has pace and likes to take players on. His attributes and ability will be a real addition to our attacking options.”
Yohanna arrives in England after a rapid rise in Sweden, where he established himself as one of the most highly rated young talents in Scandinavian football.

His performances for AIK attracted attention from several clubs across Europe before Brighton won the race for his signature, securing the winger on a long term contract until 2031.
Brighton believe Yohanna has the talent and potential to become a long-term success at the club, with the teenager now focused on settling in England and fulfilling that promise.
